I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
